Courses for New Faculty - College Faculty Credentialing

Teaching and Learning Competency Courses

Southwest Minnesota State University has developed three undergraduate/graduate courses to meet the Teaching and Learning Competency requirements of the College Faculty Credentialing Policy.  The Philosophy of Community and Technical College Education non-credit course is developed and delivered online by the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Courses offered through the Teacher Education Series (TES), currently offered by Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota, will also fulfill the requirements of the College Faculty Credentialing Policy. 

Equivalent courses from other universities may fulfill this requirement but will need to be evaluated by the Office of the Chancellor's personnel office staff.
